An attempt at painting a self portrait without looking in the mirror... I'm marking it as my first official attempt at one.  The face came out darker than I'd want, but remembering days where I struggled to get my foundation color just right gave me a path to provide patience and kindness to myself. I learned a lot in the process of making this, about myself and painting in general. I'm looking forward to my future attempts, applying what I've learned to achieve the look I want on canvas.
